Maintenance & Engineering Manager

The Maintenance & Engineering Manager leads the site engineering design and plan efforts by utilizing available and applicable technology for the site processes and performance.  Additionally, manages capital projects as specified by facility requirements and goals.  The manager will oversee the maintenance program and lead the engineering and the maintenance teams.  This position provides input to improve equipment design, reliability, and maintainability.  The manager has a critical role in connecting operations with engineering and maintenance focuses.  This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Identifies and captures opportunities for improvement in equipment maintainability and reliability.
  • Keeps current with latest equipment, technologies, and maintenance methods.
  • Assists with the development and coaching of maintenance and engineering staff, including locating and utilizing training resources as needed.
  • Supports All Levels of Management in planning for equipment, managing the infrastructure, ancillary equipment, maintenance resources, and correcting existing discrepancies.
  • Ensures application of asset management and maintenance systems data are accurate and well documented.
  • Evaluates, develops, and administers effective preventive and predictive maintenance (PM) within the CMMS to support optimal machine performance, any compliance related to building permits, facility insurance, fire prevention systems related to all buildings.
  • Analyze equipment history to identify specific repetitive failures and effectively address identified areas.
  • Analyze planned downtime of equipment to improve uptime and PM schedules.
  • Review equipment failures to determine root cause and PM action to prevent failure and protect against reoccurrence. Revise PM instruction accordingly.
  • Maintain ISO 9001 records and facilitate calibration schedule.
  • Identify training required to improve craft skill levels or repair techniques based upon data and field observations.
  • Coordinate, oversee and evaluate/accept work performed by outside contractors.
  • AutoCAD updates of site plans and changes

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
  • Five (5) years of experience in equipment maintenance and engineering with at least three (3) years of experience at the management level.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Cost management and budgetary control ideas.
  • Working knowledge of applying statistical data to develop predictive maintenance.
  • Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to identify equipment improvements, manage change and implement solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) and AutoCAD.

Mechanical Reliability Engineer

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Reliability Engineer provides solutions and is responsible for the development of production processes and plant infrastructure, ranging from small component designs to extremely large plant machinery.  This person is responsible for all stages of engineering, including the initial creation and implementation of design projects, installations, final commissioning, and other engineering aspects through the end of assets life cycle.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.  Lead teams from production and maintenance.
  • Utilizes professional engineering skills and is responsible for the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans.  Interfaces with engineering and technical teams.
  • Develops and implements criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical MRO suppliers and technical maintenance service providers.
  • Develops and implements acceptance test methods and inspection criteria and is responsible for the appropriateness of the testing methods.
  • Responsible for results of the final check out of new installations, this includes factory and site acceptance testing, assure adherence to functional specifications.
  • Establishes and leads others in the implantation of strategies to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
  • Develops and implements engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations; these problems include capacity, quality, cost, or regulatory compliance issues.
  • Provides technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel.
  • Creates, establishes, and implements modifications following prototype test results.
  • Develops mechanical and electromechanical projects; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators.  Responsible for outcomes.
  • Creates training procedures and provides training to Machinery Operators and Maintenance Technicians for installed equipment.
  • Assumes other responsibilities and performs other related duties as needed.

Job Specifications & Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Three (3) years engineering experience in an Industrial Manufacturing setting with a track record of initiation and implementation of creative solutions.
  • Five (5) years of Industrial Maintenance experience or closely working with an Industrial Maintenance Department.
  • Experience with AutoCAD preferred.
  • Self-starter with a positive and proactive approach.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in communicating with all departments, management, and employees.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and planning skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, inherent curiosity, and “hands on” engineering experience.

MANUFACTURING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

ProFusion Industries, a highly regarded manufacturer of extruded plastics and industrial films is seeking Manufacturing Equipment Operators to join our team in Marietta, Ohio. As a Manufacturing Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and/or supporting a wide range of manufacturing equipment in a three (3) shift production facility.

The successful candidates for these positions must have the following minimum qualifications:
• One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing, production or warehouse setting (preferred).
• Candidates with two (2) years of stable work experience in other occupations will also be considered.
• Candidates with schooling or certification in a technical field, chemical operations, manufacturing technology, etc. will be considered in lieu of work experience.
• Must be able to work any shift including ten (10) hour days and weekends as necessary to support production needs.
• Must be able to work safely around manufacturing equipment in a drug free work site.

ProFusion Industries offers a starting pay of $17.50 per hour. Upon completion of 720 hours worked, new associates will have their pay increased to $19.50 per hour and become eligible for full benefits. Medical benefits are offered after 30 calendar days. HIGH PRESSURE BOILER OPERATOR

ProFusion Industries a highly regarded manufacturer of extruded plastics and industrial films is seeking a High-Pressure Boiler Operator to join our team in Marietta, Ohio. As a High-Pressure Boiler Operator, you will be responsible for the daily operation of our powerhouse including the maintenance of boilers and ancillary equipment in a three (3) shift production facility.

The successful candidate for this position must have the following minimum qualifications:
• A State of Ohio High Pressure Boiler License or above.
• Two (2) years of experience in an industrial environment with hands on knowledge of boiler operations, air compressors and pneumatic systems, water pumps and systems, along with the maintenance of such systems.
• Applicants with a valid Ohio Low Pressure boiler operator license, who have completed an approved 75-hour boiler operator training course are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals.
• Electrical skills up to 480 volts, welding, lubrication, and mechanical skills are a plus.
• Ability to work a schedule that includes rotating shifts and days off.
• Must be able to work safely without direct supervision in a drug free work site.

ProFusion Industries offers a starting pay of $26.00 per hour. Upon completion of 30 calendar days, new associates will be eligible for health insurance benefits. After completion of 720 hours worked, associates will have their pay increased to $28.00 per hour and become eligible for additional fringe benefits.
